Have you ever wondered how to explain to your child what it means to be a good friend? I have a child who is just starting “big school,” as we call it. He is a very loving child, but he has a speech problem and ADHD, which can make it difficult for others to understand him at times. Unfortunately, children can be mean, and he has experienced teasing because of these challenges. I recently read that the best way to be a good friend is to be the kind of friend you would like to have.
“Everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger.” James 1:19
